Hat size marked size 7, velvet masonic insignia full size, 3 1/2" high by 2 1/2" wide, just like the insignia from the civil war. Scarce example here, somewhat semi-stiff black felt with a 2" sweat band, sewed brim border, complete with original ostrich feather & rosette. This could easy date to the civil war by a couple other colleague opinions. SCARCE Officers Fedora or slouch hat - Circa 1870's to 1880's, Indain War period hat with masonic insignia, my opinion dating.

Sash body is 5" laid flat with a total of 12 feet long, the knot & tassel are 9 1/2" long.
